New Daniel Burrus book a blueprint for future-readiness

For the past few years, Daniel Burrus has preached the gospel of anticipation as if he had written the book on the subject.

Turns out he has.

Burrus, the renowned futurist and author of the New York Times best-seller Flash Foresight: How to See the Invisible and Do the Impossible, has released his long-awaited next book, The Anticipatory Organization: Turn Disruption and Change into Opportunity and Advantage. The book is a primer for harnessing the power of disruption and using it to your advantage. Burrus says the ability to anticipate what's over the horizon is a skill we can learn, and the book teaches us how.

"You can't control your future when you react to change coming from the outside in," Burrus said. "But when you have the confidence certainty provides, you can create change from the inside out and actively shape a better future for yourself and those around you."

The new book is a perfect companion to Burrus’s award-winning “Anticipatory Organization” learning system, which helps business leaders and their teams learn how to anticipation future disruptions and take early advantage of the opportunities they provide. It’s what Burrus calls “the key missing competency in business today.”

Burrus, the Maryland Association of CPAs, and the Business Learning Institute have joined forces to customize that learning system for the accounting and finance world. The result is “The Anticipatory Organization: Accounting and Finance Edition.” Learn more here:

“(Burrus has created) a guide to creating an anticipatory, innovative culture capable of getting ahead and staying ahead in these disruptive times,” said Tom Hood, CEO of the MACPA and the Business Learning Institute. “The Anticipatory Organization will show you how to transform your organization for success and create an anticipatory culture capable of both everyday innovation and game-changing, exponential innovation. It’s a must-read for every leader looking for a competitive advantage.”
