Rebekah Brown started with MACPA in 2012 as a Customized Learning Consultant, focusing on the learning needs of firms, assisting learning directors to create custom learning experiences that help their teams succeed. Rebekah now assists the entire CPA community in Maryland as the Manager of Membership Development and Engagement at the MACPA. Rebekah sees her role as a chance to grow MACPA membership, its offerings and help develop and engage the next generation of CPAs.
Rebekah earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration dual specializing in Accounting and Sports Management from The Max M. Fisher School of Business at The Ohio State University in 2009. She earned her CPA in 2011. After two public accounting internships and three years as an Audit staff and senior at a mid-sized firm, Rebekah decided to leave public accounting and use her talents and experiences to work for the profession rather than inside it.
Rebekah is active in the CPA social media scene, blogging for MACPA’s CPA Success, tweeting and managing MACPA’s learning & innovation center, The Business Learning Institute’s, social media presence.
Rebekah is a certified facilitator in BLI’s I2A-Insights to Action Strategic Planning System and has used her facilitation skills to facilitate strategic plans for firms and non-profits, as well as, visioning sessions for accounting professionals in the United States and Canada.
She resides in Timonium, MD, is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time with her family and dog Raleigh.
