Nigel Jones – Director, Templar Executives

As an Executive NCSC (GCHQ) Certified Trainer at Templar Executives, Nigel advises, coaches and trains leadership on Cyber and Risk across sectors globally.  He is excellent at engaging at all levels and creating an interactive learning experience to discuss challenges and build knowledge in an increasingly complex and evolving business and Cyber landscape. Nigel also brings significant operational experience to his practitioner and academic work.

As a visiting fellow at King’s College London, he specializes in the human dimension of cyber security and information operations.  He teaches the cyber futures module on the Higher Command and Staff Course (HCSC) at the Joint Services Command and Staff College, Shrivenham and on the UK MoD Joint Cyber Unit Reserves Induction program.

From September 2015 to November 2019 Nigel was Chief Executive of the UK’s Information Assurance Advisory Council (IAAC), a not-for-profit network and strategic research organization bringing industry, government and academic sectors together to work on information society challenges – and opportunities.

Previously he was a senior lecturer at Cranfield University at the UK Defence Academy where he developed the cyber postgraduate program for Defence including Masters courses in Cyber Defence and Information Assurance, and Cyberspace Operations.

He has also directed the Technology Strategy Board’s for a Cyber Security Knowledge Transfer Network and managed a cyber security and information operations consultancy team, working in the critical infrastructure.
