Interviewing to Avoid Costly Hiring Mistakes

Companies often traditionally rely on resumes, interviews, and background/ reference checks to make hiring decisions. However, this process may not sufficiently assess key soft skills (e.g., organization or time management), job search motivations (and whether they are consistent with our firm’s expectations), personality tendencies (e.g., short temper), and how the person will fit into the corporate culture. This course will assist those involved in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring process to approach their assigned tasks with the necessary skills and mindset needed to avoid costly hiring mistakes.
