Goal Setting in a VUCA Environment

When you know where you are going, every decision you make either gets you closer to or further from your goals. When you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there (T.S. Elliott). In this interactive workshop we explore goal setting theory, what it takes to achieve goals, how to navigate unexpected circumstances with nimble agility and how to sustain momentum. Participants walk out with multiple creative pathways and strategies to make meaningful progress on their real life goals.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Participants will learn:
  • Understand why we set goals
  • Four evidence-based steps for achieving goals
  • How to shift energy and resources when circumstances thwart momentum
  • Understand reasons that goals haven’t been met in the past
  • How to set a clear vision and align goals to that vision

MAJOR TOPICS
  • Having multiple pathways to the goals allows teams to double down on what’s working and discard what isn’t
  • Understanding of why we strive for certain goals
