Ah, the annual performance review. Almost everyone dreads this ritual as we have institutionalized giving and receiving feedback. We save up our comments and documentation about a person’s performance, and then, like a big cat ready to pounce, we spring a year’s worth of “constructive criticism” into a half-hour meeting. Studies show that feedback has a direct connection with engagement. Most managers think they give enough, yet 65% of employees said they want more. This session will introduce participants to the art of giving timely, consistent and effective feedback to yield optimum results.
