Congress has made sweeping changes to the Internal Revenue Code regarding Estate, Gift, and Generation-Skipping taxation. Due to the legislation and prior legislation, as well as recent cases and Internal Revenue Service Rulings, many practitioners are unsure of how to advise their clients regarding their estate planning needs.
