Peter MargaritisCPA, CGMA, MAc

As the Chief “Edutainment” Officer for Peter A. Margaritis, LLC, Mr. Margaritis’s primary role is to help business leaders strengthen their business success skills. For some clients, that means helping their team hone technical skills, like U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). For some clients, it may mean working to develop non-technical, professional skills training, like presentation, business development, and leadership skills. With every client, the goal is the same: help the team improve their skills to improve business results.

Over the past 30 years in business, Mr. Margaritis has managed, recruited, developed, hired and fired – all to develop successful teams. He has sold products ranging from bank loans to corporate incentive certificates. In addition, he has created compensation matrixes, analyzed financial statements, and designed and delivered accounting and professional skills courses.

Beyond that, Mr. Margaritis has performed stand-up and improvisational comedy. He has delivered over 80 seminars, conferences, and workshops as a speaker and trainer. His presentations cover subject matter both technical and non-technical for clients that include Fortune 500 companies, large and national regional accounting firms, state CPA associations and the American Institute of CPAs.

Mr. Margaritis’s credentials include a BA from University of Kentucky and a Master’s in Accounting from Case Western Reserve University. He is a CPA and Certified Global Management Accountant with a certificate in IFRS from the Institute of Chartered Accountant in England in Wales. He currently serves on the faculty of Ohio Dominican University and the University of Maryland at University College. He has worked for companies such as Price Waterhouse, Victoria’s Secret Catalogue (not as a model), Gap Inc. Direct, Barnett Bank, C & S National Bank, Columbus State Community College, and Franklin University. Mr. Margaritis is a member of the American Institute of CPAs governing council and a past chair of the executive board of directors of the Ohio Society of CPAs, and is an active member of the National Speakers Association. He is also affiliated with the Business Learning Institute out of Towson, MD. His education and experience have taught him that every business benefits from ongoing skills development.
