Judy Borsher is a thought leader in technology training. Her skills in training, ability to clearly present complicated material, and technology expertise set her apart as an exceptional speaker. CPAs who have been trained by Ms. Borsher say she is excellent at keeping the pace of the class moving and dispensing advice that can be put to good use immediately following. As a CPA, MBA, Microsoft Certified Trainer, and President of SCG Training and Consulting Corporation, Ms. Borsher has presented more than 1,900 technology CPE programs over 25 years, with consistently high ratings. She is well known for providing custom technology training solutions, as well as consulting and programming services, to help organizations attain core competencies in technology skills and achieve financial reporting goals. Prior to establishing SCG, Ms. Borsher worked for KPMG, with a focus on management information systems, and in non-profit CFO positions. She has also worked with a national training company under contract with IBM and AT&T, where she developed, managed, and presented technology training programs to Fortune 500 companies. She is a regular speaker for the MACPA, VSCPA, and GWSCPA, and partners with the Business Learning Institute to present training nationally. Ms. Borsher attributes much of her success as a CPA to the benefits of membership in associations. She was an active volunteer on the MACPA Computer Training Committee for many years during the formation of the hands-on computer training program. Ms. Borsher currently serves as the GWSCPA Nonprofit Financial Accountability Task Force, which offers information and resources to non profit organizations through its nationally recognized website. Ms. Borsher holds BA and MBA degrees from Cornell University. She has also obtained the Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Certified Trainer designations, as well as certifications from the AICPA, including Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) and Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
